i love how it comes w/ only 1 motor, wtf are you gonna do after spending 100k and you blow your only motor. they should at least throw in a spare or two. on a separate note, does anyone know how the **** brent rau's eclipse is considered as a modified/outlaw class car? isn't it a full tube frame rwd car, thus making it a pro class car?

brent rau's eclipse is basically the same as matt hartfords cavileer that will not meet next years rules. the eclipse is a tube frame car, but it retains the factory fire wall and strut mounts. the firewall has the tubes for the chasis running through it, and the strut mounts dont have any struts mounted to them! they are just there to comply with the 2002 rules. in this months turbo mag, they show up close pics of hartfords car, showing all the quasi legal tricks. brent rau is running a simillar set-up.

so he won't be able to run in modified in the nhra next year? i guess he'll have to sell that car and build a new one or run in pro. is it still legal for outlaw in idrc?

I'll throw my $.02 in about a few things brought up here:
1: Yes the track in Vegas is a little dark at the big end but that shouldn't affect things really. Although.... i don't travel down it at 200mph either
2: I was there in Pamona at the dirt area where Lingenfelter ended up and i can tell you he was not breathing when they brought him out. I've got video of the whole thing. They were giving him CPR and everything with no response. They got a little sign of life after a bit and that's when they took him off. From the people that i've talked to he's making a slow recovery. But he is still alive!! Don't believe everything you hear.....i was there and have it on tape so there is no disputing it.
