FD with mods slower than stock?
like I said, secondary boost problem. Non seq basically operates both turbos in "parallel" mode, meaning at one time, rather than sequentially. There is a way to rig it up non seq to try it out, and it's reversible. Mazda set them up sequentially to help fight lag. It is easier to spool one small turbo than one big one, or two little ones. Going non-seq will increase your turbo lag. If you have a bad turbo, then non seq or a vac hose job is not going to help. Best would be to take it to a shop and tell them your boost problem. Barring that, search the forum, and try these sites:

oh yeah, and save up for a tranny swap or rebuild with upgraded components. Your boost leak is probably the only reason your car still goes into gear. A PFC will work, but it will be the death blow. My tranny grenaded after about 2 hours with a PFC, SMIC, intake, exhaust, hi flow cat. FYI my rebuild cost over $4K with parts and labor. Plus with performance parts you get zero warranty. Bring your own parts? Get zero warranty on labor too. You have been warned.
