Fastest Emissions Legal TII?

I am being forced by my local emissions ***** to put my air pump and cat back on. Either that or take it off the streets!
Driving it on the streets and whipping up on old muscle cars is half the fun!
What's the fastest emissions legal TII out there?
I'm worried putting that crap back on there will REALLY slow me down!

I haven't gotten busted YET!
If it isn't emissions legal by March, they will yank my registration.

I need to find a main cat then I guess I will try putting my air pump back on and routing the pipe straight to the cat. I will leave the ACV blocked off.
Do you think that will pass?

Do everyone here a favor and dyno test your car before and after that way we can have hard numbers since you have to put your emissions stuff back on anyways.

I was running around 14 PSI to make 274 HP.
The turbo is a hybrid made by Pro Turbo which was bought by Turbonetics. That's about all I know. The inlet is 2 and 3/4".

BDC put an RP highflow cat (I think it was the RP one...) and an electric Corvette air pump on his car and passed emissions with FLYING COLORS! This will NOT pass a visual inspection, but it I don't think he had to deal with that... dont know if you will or not. But, it passed the sniffer test with VERY low numbers. His car is pretty damn fast, runs 100mph in the 1/8th mile. Did 424 rwhp.

They do a visual here, but as long as there is a cat and a smog pump, I think it will pass that. They aren't used to looking at rotary's so that is a plus.
If it passes the sniffer, that is all the emissions ***** should be concerned about! I think visuals are a bunch of B.S. They should have no bearing on you passing or failing.

Yeah, I pass NY's dyno sniffer test. Last year hit pretty much in the middle of the specs with no problem.

I put my old exhaust and air pump back on and passed. Ran the air pump directly to the cat. Ended up right in the middle of the range. Cat and old exhaust were a REAL restriction to my ported engine. Seemed like it ran much worse than when it was all stock. HP lost = alot.

I was talking about Travis Shrey because I didn't know how you had it setup. Are you still using the air control valve? He isn't. I wonder how my car would do.

I'm still running the acv. FYI - Travis took his kit off and sold it.

I think Travis just got tired of tinkering with it. He had problems with his brackets cracking due to poor casting, and with the incorrect pulley sizing he overspun the sc and siezed it, and then had to haggle with Paxton to get it rebuilt under warranty. So I can understand his frustration. I was lucky enough to learn from his misfortune, so I have a bit more of a positive outlook on the Paxton setup. I forget who he sold it to, I know he's on the board, I probably have an old email about it.

That's too bad he had all of that trouble. He was one of the first people to run with that setup. He told me he wished he had gone turbo instead.
