EXPERTS need ur answers

Alright i figure this was the best place to come because you guys seem to know what goes on inside the motor. So it is your help that i seek.

Just to give you guys some backround information, My names Phat, i turned 18 in april (please dont flame me) I drive the gun metal Rx-7 and over the past few months of HEAT in s.cali i guess its time that my coolant seals gave up, I bought the full rebuild kit form atkins, seals and gaskets, So now I am on a journey to rebuild the motor myself. This would be the first engine rebuild ever of any kind, in fact it was the first pull too.

to give you a headups on my project, it took me 7 hours one day to pull out the motor and move it to my backyard, 2.5 hours the next day to strip it down to the bare block (broke 2 things, bolt holding on heatshield, and a plastic hose that a vacuum hose goes into (would super glue work for that?), and the day after i managed to crack the motor open and seperate the housings and take out the rotors and everything. So i wanted to get the motor all cleaned up before putting on the new seals, but i needed to get some questions answered and your advice.

Questions:

1. in fear of warping a housing, i bought an extra housing just in case, now how do i tell which housing was warped and had coolant spewing into it?
2 things i noticed when taking the motor apart was the front housing and rotor was much more dirty, but the rear rotor has this kind of white build up on it, so how do i tell which one needs to be the one to be replaced...i marked which one is rear and front for future reference.

2. What is that white buildup, if you know what im talking about?

3. On the front rotor... when i was cleaning it (didnt get far, no time) i noticed that theres this grove on the side of the rotor, a pic is attached to this thread. if you look at the... towards the bottom there is a groove. Now i was worried if that will affect my compression, way the motor runs, etc. This motor previous owner said is an original motor. now im confused... hopefully i dont have to replace that whole rotor, they are expensive, and i dont really have much funds. would anyone have em for sale cheap or used?

4. About lapping the other housings...do i have to lap them all? a thing i noticed was the rear one looks almost like it was never touched by anything but the front one i see alot of swirl marks so im guessing that one has to be and the intermediate housings i see a few, soo....not sure about those...how much does that usualy cost?

5. How many side seals are there an springs, in the rebuild kit i see... 9 springs... and i think it is 6 seals and 6 smaller ones.

6. last for now, ahh how many more days of work at this do you guys think it will take to get my baby back on the road!

anything else i should do while i prep it to go back in...i was thinking about going non-sequential, cleaning injectors,
i also bought a koyo radiator for it, downpipe, midpipe,
have the power FC, intakes, and catback =)

1. get a strait edge, also the coolan cleans the rotors, so the dirty one is probly fine
2.silicates from the coolant most likely
3.no pic?
4.get a dial guage, the haynes tells you the limits on any change in depth. ive seen 60$ a side before for lapping
