If you do nothing other than remove the cats from the FD you'll most likely end up needing a new engine in short order. There is power to be had but the problem is that when you remove that restriction from the exhaust, assuming the turbos and their control system is healthy, the boost level will rise. The stock ECU is not capable of reliably supporting boost levels much over stock. It runs lean and POP. Go to the 3rd gen section, search, and read. All the info you need on the proper way to mod the car is there.
