Question Exhaust?

Does anybody know if having the HKS cat back exhaust system with a downpipe and test pipes how much power you should have with it? Will it be the same as the full racing beat exhaust system? Trying to debate if I should change over to the racing beat from what I currently have. Is it a good idea? Please help.

you won't get any more power from just that. your boost might go up a bit which will give you more power. but that is not the correct way to raise boost. how much boost are you running now?

Im not looking for just a increase in boost im looking in the whole exhaust. I was wondering if what I had was just as good as the racing beat or should I get the racing beat. Are they both the same in horsepower gain with the exhaust I got compared to the racing beat?

The Racing Beat system for TII's will give a huge power increase, but you'll need to do something for your fuel system. The RB cat-back system was shown to prodecue about a 7 HP increase on a TII. The HKS is probably similar to that.

racing beat full exhaust. its quieter than most systems and you get a 59 hp increase.

I have to agree....

I have an 87 GXL. I know it's not turbo but I'm running with a complete RB exhaust (down pipe to cat back). It sounds great and I have noticed a great HP increase.. especially in the 4K to 6K range! I love mine and I don't think any other exhaust system out there will last longer.

You can't necessarily listen to the third gen boys because they have a different engine with one more turbo and a different ECU just to name a couple of differences. I have nothing but love for the FD's though (am looking for one myself).

Go with RB!
