EGT/timing

What egts do you guys shoot for when setting timing. like what is the limit? assuming its about 2-3 inches from the turbo on the dp. thanks

the best way to determine YOUR optimum EGT is to dyno ,or road test your car w a wide band, & observe the EGT at the most efficient tune because...

different motors have diff optimal EGTs.

What i was wondering is. i know some guys will judge timing by the egts.. more advance the higher temp lower temp more retarded unless its way to retarded. So i was wondering what themp these guys genereally look for.

1600 f in downpipe under boost, but like previously stated each is different but somewhere near that temp in the dp. Get your a/f set first then work on dialing in the timing, head to the dyno for tuning.
