Edelbrock carb with MOP/OMP?
Anyone here using an Edelbrock with the oil metering pump?
I looked at the vacuum advance nipples on the carb today and believe the 'always on' (always sucking) nipple would be great to hook an OMP line to. It makes more sense than the 'timed' vacuum advance nipple on the other barrel since its port is above the throttle plate.
The carb will sit on a plenum manifold so there is no need for metered oil in both primary barrels.
Anyone ever done this before?
By the way, Dan Atkins sets his OMP to the 9 o'clock position on his supercharged FB. Mine will be set to 9 too.

The port on the throttle lever side is full time vacumm, the other is a timed port

Hmm, it sounds like I could try the timed vacuum nipple. At least when I let off the throttle it won't pull a vacuum on the OMP. I don't think I have a dead Nikki around here... or maybe I do...
I have an interesting 1/8" NPT non barbed fitting that I think will allow a rubber OMP line to fit on it. I might be able to use it, or maybe I should save it for a Holley float bowl.
Hmm, I'll look at the carb again. Thanks for the responses.

Old Hitachis are like Nikkis. I have four Nikkis and four Hitachis to look at. I think only RB's Holleys have fittings in the bowls. I'll figure something out.

Just don't leave it floored forever and it's ok.
