Dyno my FD on thursday, any guess?
Hey everyone, lets play a guessing game. My mods are in sig. I will be dynoing on Thursday. I'm curious as an estimate of what you guys think I will dyno at...
Any ideas?

You very well could see up to 300 rhwp, depending on intake temps, A/F ratio, etc...
I just don't want you to get your hopes up.
And the 5 Grand gets you 40-80 more horsepower to the wheels.
If you make 300 to the wheels, its more like 350-370 to the engine which is more then 100 hp more then stock.

They are going to do a wideband, does that tell me my a/f ratio?
what should I have my a/f to keep from running lean, yet give more HP?

You could add a midpipe and that would give you a little more hp, less down low, more up top.
If you get some fuel mods you could up the boost to 14-16 psi and could easily get 330-350 rwhp.
Thats around 390-415 horspower to the engine, out of a small 1.3 L.
Of course it all depends, what kind of shape is your engine in?
Base Map or are you going to tune it?
Fresh plugs and wires?

Ricks rotary tuned my power fc when it was installed, I really don't know what they did.

I dyno'd 276 rwhp w/ basically what you have at 15 psi. Ya, something was wrong and I think it was my HF cat. I took it off and can only see blackness. Can you say clogged. But I am interested in another dyno w/ MP and too quiet CB. Is this a group you are going w/? I am off wed and would like to go, if possible. Let me know.
Where is ATP at? I used dyno spot last time.

I tried to get a group together in the west section, but like everything else with FD owners it never amounted to anything. I'm going with another member of the forum who lives by me. ATP is located in fremont. They have a dyno session available on WED still. We are going thursday at 6 PM. Call them and see if they have any time left on thursday we can all go. let me know.

I will post a thread at some point detailing, but in a nutshell...Myself and rynberg went together. He has a catback and downpipe.
I had 5 runs, 2 were aborted.
First run I had 10 lbs of boost and it dynod at 250 HP and 226.4 torque. Realizing only 10 lbs of boost I upped the boost from the power fc (estimated it) The second run I saw my boost hit 13 so I asked him to abort. He said the a/f was perfect and that I should have continued..
He put a fan on my engine to cool it down, took 20 minutes.
Ran it again, this time my boost hit 15 and I told him to stop. He stopped , the dyno chart was really strong I regret now. The guy doing the dyno said I was between 280 and 300 on that run.
My car was so heatsoaked we ran it again and I dynoed at 266 HP and 247 lbs torque. My boost ran 12 after the transition hit 14 or so. Realize that the fan that was blowing in front of my car did nothing , my BLITZ SMIC was so hot you could not touch it.
I realize that this gives me a base to say I am around 280. When I'm actually moving and my IC is cool and I am getting air into my intake I am sure that my car has 300 to the wheels.
