I discovered the problem , Now I gotta find out what is causing it .

Troubleshooting According to this the charge control actuator should maintain vacume via the vacume chamber . But that isnt happening . when ever I shut the car off there is no vacume

But now I'm trying to Look at the https://www.rx7club.com/attachments/...risversion-jpg Vacume diagram . ANd I'm trying to see what part failing causes this symptom . i checked the check valve and that is working perfectly . the vacume chamber is maintaining vacume . , But no vacume is being maintained to the charge control actuator ..

so much for having checked every solenoid ...

If someone is able I'd like to make a small expiriment . because this dont make sense.. according to vacuume diagram there should not be any vacume to chamber A of the charge control actuator when the car shuts off ( thus it should return to its sprung position asoon as the car is turned off ) , But the troubleshooting guide ontop says you need to remove the hose going to chamber A of the actuator in order for it to return . which kind of makes more sense .

When I got my FD It had extremely slow spool that I assumed was due to being street ported and non sequential, long story short I found my wastegate door was gone. One new set of twins later and it now has full boost at about 3800 rpm

There is no way porting could cause what you describe. Look for damage to the primary turbo or some other non working component in the turbo system.

If it were an exhaust flow issue due to porting or even a poorly running engine, it might spool later, but it would not spool gradually. Slowly creeping boost means that either there is major drag on the turbo due to bad bearings or other damage, or a large amount of exhaust is bypassing the turbo.

Im a little late but drove my car yesterday. 99 spec twins, full exhaust, pettit ecu, Fresh Rebuild still in break in so boost is set at 10lbs on primary. 3rd gear on a flat road going WOT at 2000 rpms I had 10lbs by about 24-2600 rpms. Car surges forward instantly, something is definitely still not right with your setup.

OK just want to add some stuff after trying g everything from replacing every solenoid to even replacing the 99spec turbos with OEM turbos and still having the very sluggish spool I gave up I just said screw it

For a year I raced autocrossed tracked with the slow spooling twins and then my motor blew at a track I just gave up on it said I didn't want to deal with it bought a JDM block and had it rebuilt mild street port

I've been braking it in I have accidentally gone into boost a few times and noticed this motor felt like it had more spool

Today I was doing some light boost tunning and low and behold 16psi at 2700 rpms not even full throttle just part throttle... Same vacume lines same turbos same solenoids same everything same tune and now I can magically hit 16psi at 2700rpms in 4th gear granted

But this was an impossible feat with my older motor

So I do not know weather it was porting or something else but I can finally close this thread and just say the issue was something in the old motor . when I crack. T open I will see what caused the blow and what could be the cause of the shitty spooling

Needless to say I turned down the boost a lot after that
