Does anyone have a pic showing mounted BFG's???

I want to see what the BFG's look like mounted on a FD.

I'm running stock wheels so a pic showing the BFG's on stock wheels would be nice but what ever ya got is ok.

Where have you guys found these tires to be the cheapest and what is the actually name of them? Is it just BFG drag radials or what?

Thanks in advance,

They're not stock wheels, but they are BFG drag radials...

Vosko, can you use those tires in IDRC races? I know that MT et streets aren't legal.
Thanks,
Ernie

i copied this from www.importdrag.com that's all it says for street class. i am assuming these are legal.

Tires
All Street class vehicles must use D.O.T. radial tires. Tires must measure less than 10.5-inches in tread width, not in section width. Maximum tire height is 28 inches. No slicks allowed.

No, ET Street or Racemasters are not allowed. Tire has to be "radial" which means steel radial inside. The only option you have is BFG drag radial or nitto drag radial. If they were allowing ET street or racemaster, I would have been running them long time ago.. But still, I was able to run 10.61 with these radial tires.

Thanks guys!!! Those BFG's look different than I thought. I thought they had a larger looking sidewall and kinda bulged out some. Maybe the BFG's I saw were not sized right for the wheels they were mounted on.

If anyone has more pics of BFG's please post

Thanks

Vosko,
You can use them in NIRA events, just not IDRC. They all have their own rules.

I found the best price for the BFG DRs at http://www.etires.com . They also offered free shipping like some other places do.

Check them out, I was happy with there service.

PS: If you mount the tires inside out they don't look like DRs.

Cool, I'll check with etires and look into mounting them backwards......are they bidirectional or what ever? I think Nittos are only supposed to spin in one direction, they have a arrow on them. Maybe the BFG's are not like that.

Thanks for the info,

I am not sure about the arrow thing, but I had mine mount inside out to avoid the racer look. I haven't driven with my tires yet, so I can' t tell you how they work like that. The tread pattern does not look unidirectional, and if it is, just be careful in the rain. They will probably not corner as well mounted this way since (bi-directional) tires are stiffer on the outside for improved cornering.

Ari at RX7.com gave me the idea, but he has different reasons for mounting his tires inside out.
