Did it with the twins and deos it with the single

Hi Guys,

Bear with me this might be one of the longest post yet

I did a rebuild with a Rotary aviation Master rebuild kit..My old engine had a scratched housing and a broken seal.. I also replaced the scracthed housing.... then i drove the car for 800 miles without boosting and keeping the RPMs below 3000...

After 800miles of run-in i gave it a little throttle to see if it boosted.. and it was boosting fine till 4-5 psi so i stopped.. the vaccum was a little low at around 350mmhg but my car is streetported...then after another 200miles i floored the accelerator at around 3500 rpms.. at 8 psi around 4500rpms my car started hesitating.. like something was stopping it and made some load noises from under the hood felt like something was holding it back.. so i stopped...

I thought my turbos must be shot.. so i bought a single turbo kit from a friend.. it has a custom manifold, an HKS T04E turbo and a Turbosmat pro-gate wastegate... after installing the kit i drove the car for a little while without boosting... then i boosted but at around 8-9 psi at around 4500 rpms the same problem occured....

The i asked some ppl and they said i might have the wastegate hooked up wrong.. so i got the diagrams and hooked it up correclty.. then took the car for a spin.. it ran great..i just gave it a test run and parked the car.. the next day i was very busy so i just gave it another test run and parked it again.. then i asked my mechanic to come by my house in the day and take the midpipe off and put a resonator in it.. the problem came back.. now i have taken the resonated midpipe off and have the straight through mid pipe in.. still the problem is there.... what could it be.. following is a list of the mods :

Streetported motor
HKS T04E turbo kit
Greddy large SMIC
Apex-i GT spec Radiator
Apex-i N1 Exhuast
Apex-i Power FC
Greddy E-01 boost controller
Midpipe
Aquamist 1s system

Any clues on what it could be.. also when the hesitation happens i can hear the wastegate popping it makes loud noises and at time it gives a sound like an explosion... and severe hesitation..

Please Help

My guess is that your car is tuned poorly and that it is bogging, detonating, or misfiring.

Ok Im not say it is, because I do not have a PFC, ask someone in the PFC part of the forums if its possible for it to do this, and if it is then how to fix it. Also you may want to start looking into a good tuner thats familair with the PFC.

There are several settings in the PFC and it sounds like it is still set for sequential turbo setup.
