Talking Decisions, Decisions , Decisions :)

Just picked up the slide throttle assembly, I have it pictures next to my 55mm IDA Throttle Body. This will eventually be installed on my P-Port

Nice looking piece. Where did you pick those up from? And what kind of cfm's can it flow?

The 55MM IDA came from RXeng in Austraillia, same one as Tweak-it sells. The Slide throttle came from a shop that is closing down

Wow, a mechanical fuel pump where the alt should be. Is there only a single injector bung on each runner?

So I'm wondering.....whats the advantage to having a slide throttle body compared to a butterfly throttle body on a PP?
And where would I find a pair of 50+mm slide throttle bodies?

IDA Throttle bodies: Tweak-it or TWM induction
Slide Throttle Advantage (Theorectical), Less flow restriction and disturbance

I've always been curious on this:

When running an individual throttle body setup like that, usually there's no air filtration visible. Do people just run them without air filters? Surely not...

When I used to ride Bikes.. the ZX-11 with Flat slides and Nitrous.. THAT was the ticket.
Man I miss the sound of a (Back then) MANLY ZX-11 with 175 to the Rear wheel N/A...

Scarily fast.

Only thing close.. a very high strung N/A rotary.

Edit: Oh yeah... the throttle response.. was STUNNING. MUCH better than butterflies. VERY crisp. VERY precise. And the sound at WOT... <shudder>

What you dont see on either of the setups is the custom airbox
