Talking date with my tuner.

Well I think I finally have it all covered , I have a tuning date with the dyno this weekend !!!!. Just as a 'guide" what RWHP do you guys think I will make at 18 , 23 and 28 psi respectively with my setup ?. For those who don't know , I am running a half bridged 13B rew with internal mods to support upwards of 10K RPM , E6K , 6000cc's worth of fuel injectors , twin bosch '044 pumps , twin MSD 6a's on the leading plugs , custom mounted large NPR FMIC with 3" piping ,twin Tial 35mm wastegates , custom fully divided exh. manifold , garret TA 45 turbo ( 76mm comp. & 68 mm turbine wheel in a 1.22 a/r divided turb. housing) , custom 3.5" exhaust sustem , twin nozzle / pump aquamist Wi system , twin OS clutch , turbosmart e boost and other important driveline stuff. I am hoping to make over 450whp by 12 psi !! , am I nuts ?? , let me know your thaughts.

Umm wow. You suck. I have no idea about what numbers you'll make, but I'm sure you won't be dissapointed. Sounds like you've done your work motor wise. Good job and good luck man.

Marcell,

I've seen 450HP at 20psi on average tuning. I hear a lot of stories but the cars that I see that make 450HP back it up with MPH on the quarter mile.

Depending on the settings, Dynos can lie like you would not believe. Who is tuning the car in Trinidad? I am from Trinidad as well (but live in the US now)

Good luck on dyno day!!!

Anthony

If you can avoid ignition breakup as you head towards 10k RPM you should be able to put out some huge HP numbers.

Good luck and may God give you no detonation.

I am spinnin to 9000 now with rich ratios and have little or no break up , before the twin pumps ratios were mid 11's and there was none so I expect that there will be none after I tune.
As for detonation , I haven't had ANY since I've been using WI , my ignition is also a bit on the concervative side with the bridge port.

It only takes a tiny bit of detonation to blow your motor, 3MM seals can take a little bit more but not much.

aye marcel i was in trinidad 2 weeks ago and 20b cosmo Rana took me by Prentice.... the fella tuning some nice cars there, especially that blue 3rd gen with the huge turbo & 5" DP..... i also visited the Dyno to see Stoute red 1st gen make a few passes....Prentice showed me a set of Greddy iridium Rotary plugs that was going into one of his customers car,i looked at the plug and gave it back to him.....the man called my boy later that day to say that 2 of the plugs was missing & we was the only people in the room....boy i was so pissed cuz the man blaming me for thiefing he plugs, boy if i have to steal plugs i would go with all 4....why would i leave a 20b powered rx7 here in NY to go theif a set of $35US plugs in trinidad
stoute's car needs a better turbo, he turbine housing on that T72 is way to small for a race car, thats why his power is falling off at higer RPM's.... also he need a proper fuel cell to replace that RED gas container he using....the gas that was being returned into the tank was creating serious airation in the tank and the pump would suckup all the bubbles and send it into the rail causing the car to surge at higher RPM's....
Sean Ready's car was nice , but his turbine housings was also to small for a race car.... he said its a 1.32 A/R but it looked more like a .96 A/R....the turbo was imported from australia and he have no clue on the specs....aye tell Prentice i'll send him a few sets of iridium plugs cuz them thing cheap here....

Here are my guesses for what you asked!
18 psi - 460
23 psi - 527
28 psi - 554

I don't think you can make 450 @ 12psi, but I do think you can hit 400.

It's hard to say, the tuner will make a big difference, plus you said it may be a bit rich and no perfect timing.

By the way, I love the sounds of your setup and can't wait to see these reults. Post us some pictures while you're at it!

I did not get to do any tuning since the MOTHER F*%$#n gearbox (tranny ) **** itself on friday night !!!!. When in first gear the shifter keeps "jumpin" out and the gears grind very loudly and 5th doesnt engage when I put it in .
I know that tuning is done in third gear only , but I am worried about putting too much power on it before I get a replacement. Any one had and fixed this problem before ?.

Wow, thats quite a set-up any pics?

I'm guessing 500RWHP+ @ 18psi. And probably 600's with 23 and 28psi easily.

Nope !!! , I have been waiting on the proper boost controller kit (the one equipped with the twin solenoid valve) so that I can safely raise my boost, the supplier said he's still waiting . I am just about fedup !!! , I may just go and tune using one waste gate so that the boost will get past the spring pressure of 12psi. In the mean time I am redoing my water injection system using a new Shurflo pump and accumulator,I will post as soon as something new happens.
