custom exhaust for an FC

hello all, I'm going to be building an exhaust for my FC and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.

I don't have any pipe bending equipment so I'll have to get a shop to bend the pipes or something, but I plan on it all being bolt-up by welding on some of the stock style flanges.

Any suggestions ???

Turbo or non-turbo?
Ever tried posting in the FC specific section? You'd probably get more responses that way.

Seperated exhaust pipes all the way back (i.e. true dual), as recommended by Racing Beat and confirmed by a bunch of guys I know who mess around with these things.

You would think a properly placed collector would make for a better "tuned" exhaust system, but Racing Beat says otherwise. I have a friend who messes around with the NA's a LOT, so I trust his judgement when he says true dual makes for the best power - ha also races his cars at NASA events, so he's no dummy.

just do a search in 2nd gen for true duals.....you will find a lot of threads debating single vs. dual, etc......basically, you can just get your mufflers and header, and go to a muffler shop. Depending on what you have for emmissions testing there, the shop can weld up a 3" set for you that goes from header to mufflers for somewhere around $300.....some of the FC guys are running this and they all seem to love it, and for that price I think I will like it too!!

I had a header the bonez cat and a single N1. Rx7_ragtop has a custom 3" both sounded very similar. I always liked the sound of the dual N1's so perhaps a more common muffler would be availible at your local shop.

Good luck
