On a 3rd gen. It's for moving an engine back.Im looking for pictures of the engine and maybe of an interior shot of where the gas is now sitting and how badly it is affected.I've already done a search.

If he is moving the engine back then he obviously has some kind of "rotary performance" in mind and therefore has it posted in the best spot regardless of the generation car he has.
I am assuming you are going to either do a 3 rotor custom swap and move the engine back to maintain a better balance or you are doing an entirely different engine. Then again you could be building a race car too. the people to talk to would be Pettit Racing. They have extensive work into 3 rotor cars as well as firewall and race car mods.

It depends on how far you are taking it back and what you are willing to lose in order to accomplish this. The area where the tranny tunnel is at is obviously the most affected area.
On a race car where all the dash crap was coming out you could make your tunnel with aluminum removeable with Zeus fasteners.
The only reason you are not getting answers is because this is pretty rare per se especially if this is a street car.
There are a few tricks that will help you also. The lower you sit your motor the further back you can put the motor with the least amount of taking the firewall back.
