Can someone please advise the timing setting for a 13B Cosmo?

My friend just finished installing one into his FB ,still running carb and Dizzy ,and its NA for now.

Hi guys.

Nope its a 93`ish 13b RE Cosmo engine.

Currently running a modified Nikki just to get it running.

 

I think the pulley is marked 5° ATDC like the 2nd gens. That'll get you started.

We will give it a try.

We havent had any luck with it sofar.Compression is really good,but it starts difficult,and doesnt have punch when driving it.Sort of like a engine still running it,just feels a bit tight.

 

you should be able to get it to start easier, but i'm a bit skeptical about getting it to run well. i'm guessing there's a serious supply vs. demand issue between the engine and intake setup when it comes to airflow. however, play with the timing some more to get it starting easier. as Jeff already stated, it's most akin to 13B-T.
