Congrats to Reactive Racing Again!

He did not break his record, however he was able to match it; meaning it wasn't a fluke (or a suicidal run).

7.625 @173.72

On other notes, Brent Rau just did a 6.976 @ 198.29 on the same category

its actually a PRO RWD type tube chassis with the fire wall and strut tower put back in, thats why it was ban by the NHRA for there modify class....running 6's with a 4cyl isnt easy, congrats to him....

Yup none the less, it is the first 4 cyl import engine to break the 6 sec barrier, not an easy task

BTW - Thanks for the info on his chassis!

I have been so busy traveling and working on the car i have not had time to respond to any of the congrats posts.

I have only one thing to say thank you!!! It is great to see that forum members are excited with the progress we have been making, posts like this make it all worth it as we due what we due for the love of the sport and peer recoginition is what keeps us trying so hard. We are very pleased with our first full season and look forward to next year.

We will be closing out the year at the nhra finals this weekend in Pamona California. And the Reactive Racing RX7 will be on display at SEMA this year in the Powertrain Control Solutions booth.

Thanks Again
Dee

WOW! Dee I was at moroso and seen you run a 7.67, thats the fastest unibody RX-7 ,13B I have ever seen, I then wandered over to your trailer and what really shocked me was your spare engine getting ready for assembly, HELL its almost stock inside, rotors slightly moded, 2mm2pc oem seals, mild street porting, no intercooler at all. just lots of air and lots of fuel I guess? HEY I was impressed---- keep it up. rotary engines are incredible. RON

Thanks for the compliment! For the record though my car is no longer unibody, it is a 25.1e back-half conversion.

And yes the car is street ported and uses all stock internals including the seals. I have always been a fan of the stock 2mm seal. All of our motors start off as malloy mazda remans. We just basically diassassemble them and port them a little then reassemble.

Do you add extra dowel pins to the motor or leave them as is? I have my motor pinned but from information that I have been gathering seems it is unnecessary if you have a good tune. If you don't detonate what will break.

Dee,
I just read through the 2006 rules for NHRA Modified class and they are allowing the use of a 3 rotor. Do you have any plans on switching to a 3 rotor or are you staying with the 2 rotor?
