carb to ecu

hey...

i run a series1 with a 13b carb
i'd like to swap to a fuel injected setup
i was wondering how difficult the swap is...

So here are the questions...

am i better off with aftermarket ecu or a stock ecu?
what stuff do i need besides injectors, ecu, airfilter?
and what kind of dollar value is the conversion worth?

thanks
any help would be appreciated

There are a number of ways to go EFI. It really depends what you goals are and where you sit on the time vs money scale. Being in Australia you have access to all the stuff to do a really nice job for not too many $$$.

For example. you can interface pretty much any factory EFI manifold onto a 13B, but they are limited in terms of ultimate flow. An IDA setup has the capability to release much more power.

Or if you can fabricate a whole world of possibilities open up.

Likewise with the ECU. If you can hold a soldering iron then you can use the megasquirt. If you can't there is always the sparkdog. Up a bit in price is the microtech, wolf et al.

Many possibilites depending upon what you want

thanks heaps dude

i've got a friend who can import stuff from jp

so i might see if he can get me all the factory bits

i'll try for the DIY option.... the problem is making extra circuits/relays as the stock carb S1 (apparently) cant hack not having extra circuits

we'll see i guess....

once again thanks
