A good machine shop can do a lot with the proper equipment, basically anything related to rotary engine internal modifications.

I haven't seen anyone mention getting rotor apex machining to accept 3mm seals from a machine shop rather than a rotary shop.

I bet a lot could do it perfectly, but many are afraid to be one of the first to try it out instead of from a tuner.
(I know I can't afford to be the guiney pig...)

It should be no problem for any decent machine shop.

there is a lot of tricks-of-the-trade to doing it

i would say leave it to the people who have learned the hardway the correct techniques

or at least find out the tricks to it (good luck) and make sure your machine shop knows them

It's been discussed with numerous very experienced machinist's in my area and all have said that without blue printing each rotor seperately it would be nearly impossible to do an acurate job.
