Bridgeport Sound?

Dose a secondary brigdeport sound just the same as a full bridgeport is it better to do a full bridgeport for the sound or will a secondary bridgeport sound just as good?

full bridge lopes a little faster.
..........full bridge: blap.blap.blap.blap.blap.blap
secondarys only: blap...blap...blap...blap...blap

does that make sense???

Heh...yea that's pretty clear good description. I didn't expect a response like that one . Hey it's better than using words though...

if you care about what it sounds like, you shouldn't be doing it. just buy one of those electronic BOV's from ebay and an interfooler and call it a day.

Absolutely right.

The way the whole car rocks at traffic lights is just as important, if not more.

What RPM does your bridgeport idle at???

I have a carborated NA bridgeport 12a that needs freshing up before I drop it in my RX3. The builder of the motor warned me that it has a high idle around 1300.

Are you running lightned flywheel????

thanks

the brap brap brap is the best part, who cares about the extra power or the crappy 1k+ idle

I built a bridgeport last year in the fall and got it in the car and it starts fine but i can get the idle down for the life of me. Its always around 1600rpm the motor isnt broken in yet. I have about 15kms on the motor and maybe running time about 3hours. i got cermet housing and that hole deal too.

I have a half bridge and your right the bwap....bwap is spaced out and more subtle. I found it funny how it picks up in pace as you increase the PSI on your FPR and naturally it will idle a bit higher than stock. If it didn't then the engine would stall out at idle.

I'm curious to see how well I can get an NA half-bridge with a staged throttle body and properly sized intake runners to behave on the street with a standalone. I guess thats why I'm building one. Its gonna be an 85 12A with a GSL-SE center housing and bridged secondaries (not cutting into the water seals). I'm currently tossing around ideas for a custom intake manifold using a TII throttle body. Should be interesting.
