now on the street the bridgeport is nice because you don't have to do anything special to the housings besides the typical port and then you don't have to do anything crazy with intakes if you don't want to. This keeps the cost down while still providing some damn good power while spooling up your turbo faster. I think a half bridge port would be more streetable than a pport or even semi pport but again I have no first hand experiance with streeting a pport so I'll shut up now

well Chris not everyone is as talented as you....I only need 9500 rpm when i am racing so if you need more then thats your business.........you should try doing 3 hour races in the caribbean sun over 9500 rpm dude I know you wont last........dont care what your runnning.......Camel GT, Rolex all run 8500 rpm for endurance.......let me guess...you run down a 1/4 ohhhh bully for you!!!

It has notting to do with some magical talent. It's called experience and thinking outside the norm but mainly learning from your mistakes and doing what it takes to be more successfull.
If I had a penny for every time I've heard that I would be a ...........! Fill in the rest.
And FYI I'm from the caribbean and spent the first half of my life in that same sun you speak about and now I'm enjoying the sun here in Florida but I still prefer the sun down there because it always came along with a cool breeze. Believe it or not the weather here is a lot harsher than in the caribbean. I'm not even going to mention Texas in the summer time something I've never experience any where else where at the track temperatures I have experience were in the 120 deg F plus and that's not RAD if you're a serious tuner you would know what I'm talking about.
That's a proven combination there.
Can't agrue with that one. It's called common sence when you don't know or have the experience to do any better.
Then again I know many racers/engine builders that will also prove that theory wrong.
Now for the stress relief!
Just did a 6-hour race not too long ago. Redline was 9k rpm race and 10.5k rpm for qualifying with the same motor. For a 3-hour endurance I've done motors that turned 10 to 10.5k rpm. Unlike what you believe it can be done with the right combination of parts and a good driver. I use to think the same like everyone else but I've learned to think outside the bubble and gone pass the 'Racing Beat catalog', 'Mazda Competition Manual' and 'How to Modify And Race Your RX-7'. . If I did not I would be stuck like the rest making the same mistakes that everyone else did from back in the 1980's. Modern technology also helps a long way in making that happen. The stuff available to you now was not around back in those days anyway. I did not learn to build a powerfull(375rwhp) and reliable(over 100,1/4 mile passes at 11K rpm) without learning first how to build a 250rwhp one at first. The difference is I continued and progressed. If you doubt me there's some video of a certain PP All Motor car(RIP) in the drag racing section Pay close attention to the gauges there's some hints that can be picked up. That motor been it there for over 1.5yrs. There seems to be the common misbelief especially among most of the roadracing engine builders that if they can't do it then no one else can. Just love proving them wrong. It's funny because they always label you as a dragracer so that means you know notting about building a motor that last. Then you go out and prove that theory wrong. Then the most famous misbelief is that Mazda only could have acheived this amount of power so there's no way in hell any normal individual could do any better. That's the one I love proving wrong the most especially when they talk dyno and all I have to say is that what you make at the flywheel many others have done way more at the rear wheels and I'm not saying that to brag but just to set the facts straight. Then even when their fellow competitor who's whooping their behind at every race meet The excuse for that one is always they have the $$$ backing them. Excuses! Excuses! Excuses!
I just love going to those meets and enjoying the politics of it. At least in drag racing there's no polictics because when you put your reputation on the line it does not matter what you brung but who reaches the other end first and like a good friend always say, 'Everything I run UPS can deliver to your house'. Too bad the knowledge and experience can't be bought on e-bay!

I still don't understand what the arguement is all about. If one person is happy with the success of their bridgeported motor then let them be. Just because you disagree does not mean they are wrong. All that matter is that they are happy with their success. What's even worse are the ones arguing about the results without even trying it or experiencing it themselves and are just quoting what they have read or heard form someone else. That goes to the ones who want to bring PP motors in to this discussion also.
Instead of knocking it go out and try it. If you don't then you're not qualified to doubt the ones who have. Simple facts.

I have been around race cars since i am 10 yrs old..so i have experience..i started building my own engines at 17...raced my first car at 16.....raced motorcross too...............i have driven in sebring, midohio, and silverstone UK, Oulton Park UK......I built Fromula Ford engines while i lived in UK and know David Vizard since i was a boy....so I know a little bit .......as for the RPM deal..I like the power at 9500 rpm , dont need any more, but one time when i was younger my dad was racing and on our very last race of the year we pulled out the chips and he ran a 11200 rpm.....WOW...that engine was smoked after....LOL so i never said it coulnt be done I have seen it.....
I built a engien that ran sprint races for an entire year...14 race events...I have learnt durability over the yrs too....I too have learnt to make my own ****, and find ways to do thingsa that people say cant be done.....we have much more in common that you think......except I hate to boast and i dont judge you or anyone elses ability

AS for this debate, thats was my first post that what works for one guy may not for another...they all have potential to make the power it depends on set..up....
