Yes. They have a much more direct feel then the stock lines. You get rid of the spongy feel of the brakes. If you are upgrading your brakes then there is no reason not to upgrade your lines as well.

would it make any sense to upgrade the lines before i upgrade any of the other brake components? or would it only be effective if done in combination with other upgrades?

Make sure you get a pair that are silicone coated/covered.
And if I were you, I'd go for Earls type fittings, which are not DOT compliant.
Someone posted a nice little thing to read (from an NSX forum) about SS covered teflon brake lines, search the suspension/wheels/brakes forum

It can be effective either way. Most will do it when they upgrade their rotors and pads. Unless you want to go with a big brake upgrades or something then the stock calipers are fine.

I heard that the stock calipers dont work well with SS braided lines, as in it wears the calipers/seals out faster. Has anyone had any experience with this?

I can't imagine the lines causing the calipers / seals to wear out faster unless you were actually stopping more aggressively -- the calipers see the same amount of hydraulic pressure for a given amount of braking regardless of the type of brake line (SS braided or not)

SS lines will make your brakes feel alot more solid. You can get an inexpernsive set from TRI-Point Enrg in CA.
