I just got my car back after a rebuild and many mods that have increased my boost .Now under decent acceleration I get a huge rush of air that I think must be coming from the BOV. There is also not very much power. I am just waiting for my boost gauge, so I can not tell what boost I am getting. If I turn the set screw to clockwise will this increase the pressure that it releases?How can You test the blow off valve?

I believe that a Blow off valve only ativates when you release the throttle to release back pressure, and prevent damage to the turbo.

could you have a pop off valve?

 

No, this is a Blitz blow off valve. That is why I cant understand why it is opening up when the turbos are making pressure instead of releasing when the throttle is let off.It may be hooked up wrong.

 

i dont know..i have the BLITZ BOV also....with the SCREW turned alllllllllllll the way DOWN...im LOSIN 2 PSI....with it turned alllllll the way UP...im back to normal...actually 10-8-8.....might be better turned to the middle...=) ill find out this wednesday night when i take it to the tracks again......ran a 14.2 with it turned DOWN...=(

 

your BOV isnt adjusted for the added boost, its blowing off befor you hit full boost
