Question bigger injectors ??

was curious i've got a 85 gsl-se with full exhaust, header, intake, ignition. in the near future im going to rebuild the engine using a 12A centerhousing and do a large street port and a T-66 turbo. but untill then my question is what would happen if i put bigger injectors in the engine the way it is ?

It will run rich, if at all. There is no way for the stock ECU to know that larger injectors are installed, so it will run the same injector pulsewidth for a given load and rpm, which will be too much fuel.

Prior to installing the larger injectors, you will need a fuel controller or standalone engine management system. This applies whether your engine is in its current configuration, or with a turbo. I recommend spending a little more and getting the full engine management system because it is the best bang for the buck, and it will also run your current engine better. Then you can add the larger injectors, which will require retuning. The engine will not run as well with the larger injectors at low rpm, but it will work well enough if tuned properly. If this is a street car, you may want to add a secondary fuel rail when you add the turbo, which is a better idea than increasing the primary injector size by a large amount. You will definitely need a high-performance fuel pump and associated plumbing with that T66. You will soon find that the turbo itself does not cost nearly as much as the other parts you need to add because of it.
