I've also like my Greddy SP. Not bad with a mid pipe either on my buddy's car. You guys must like em loud! N1 is soo loud, and actually the Greddy PE with midpipe is really loud a FT also, and I don't really like it at idle either. I'm lucky my car came with the SP since I've not heard one I like more. If you still have stock twins the Blitz Nur-spec is pretty good for the money. Keep in mind, its sound is quite aggressive and loud. Very raspy and when you stomp on the throttle, sounds like....hmmm...a lawn mower. I liked it - cheap and flowed really well.
If you are going for a more reserved and "stock" tone, the Greddy SP is a great choice. It is more baffled and the tone is more deep. It's very very quiet compared to the Blitz Nur-spec. My Greddy SP right now prevents me from getting a headache.
Both these exhaust were run with a downpipe and midpipe so it will definitely be louder.
If you have a single turbo (downpipe & midpipe), the Blitz Nur-spec is a big no no. It is so loud it is obnoxious. At idle, it sounds very tame but even blipping the throttle will screech out a horrible sound. Might need a silencer or a resonated midpipe. Definitely not street legal (meaning you will get pulled over for noise violation) if it is straight through. - Tommy

The most annoying and droning cat back I have ever experienced on a 7 was the ATR, loud and does not sound very appealing. A cat does not tone down the droning. Second most annoying was the Apexi dual when combined with a midpipe and stock twins. Either of these catbacks must be near unbearable with a single turbo or non-sequential, I'd say the ATR is twice as droning/annoying as the Apexi dual.
I have been very pleased with the RB dual tip and the original Greddy Trust single tip, both with XR1/midpipe and single turbo. Very mild at idle and cruise and can wake the dead at full throttle, nice powerful rotary sound (does not make it sound like a V8). The muffled midpipe really makes idle and cruise much more civil.
Friends have the HKS single tip and are very pleased with the mild exhaust note at idle and cruise, both with un-muffled midpipe, still sings like a rotary at full throttle.

rotary performance in texas (RX7.COM) has come out with a canister style exhaust of their own design.
its constructed in japan by the same company that puts together the greddy/trust exhausts.
goes for around 440 bucks.
