Question Balance rotors & clearence Y/N?

I'm trying to do my budget with a Racing Beat lightened and blalanced rotors and counter weights (includes bearings). I would also want to have it rebalanced with RX8 eshaft, auto flywheel counter weight (as well as race clearance the side plates). All this stuff keeps adding up really fast. Now i'm wondering if it's over kill and not needed and if just buying all new parts is enough.

Can I get some engine builder opinions or if anyone has done the same?

Well, the Racing beat lightened rotors come with the front and rear counterbalance weights already. Just stick with the original e shaft. You're not going to notice any big gains with the rx8 shaft. Not worth the hassle of rebalancing everything. I have been racing my 12a unbalanced internals for the last 2 years shifting at 10.2k with no problems. Your pretty safe up to 10k but it is always best to balance everything if you're going for every ounce of power and longevity.

My E-shaft was swapped for a 2nd gen and was never clearanced or balanced. It is toast now. It looks like the pic in the hall of shame thread. Nothing is within spec or reusable.

Racing BEat's kit is balanced with RX8 eshaft. Alsot hey are half the cost of FD eshaft and lighter. I beleive the lightening and balancing cost about $1k. I spoke with the guy I beleive that does it for them about a year ago. I would like to hit 9k rpm but longeevity is my main concern.

I am also debating whether to budget in Juge Ito monster street ports or not do any at all.
