Apex seals and cermet coatings?

I know on JHB's website they say to use their apex selas with their coatings. I was wondering what some of yahll are using that have these coatings? Should i use what they recommend or use the ra seals and oem springs?

Also which coating did you choose and would you do it again? Why?

If you have had any problems related to the coatings please feel free to share/guide.

I actually just called them today, they recommend ceramic apex seals, if not the ceramic then OE or their seals. I would not use RA seals because I hear they are hard on housings.

I thought since the coating is harder and the seals are harder it would go good together?

I have built 1 T2 motor with the JHB housings and used the OEM Mazda seals aand I'm in the process of building another one. The first motor was a little hard to start the first few times...I guess it takes a little while for the seals to set properly.

Last i heard it had 4000kms on it and running great....it had some hesitation problems, which turned out to be grounding issues. Still haven't had a chance to compression check it yet.
