APEX seals

I'm really new on the rotary engines, I'm just an ignorant lout whose dad just sold his s2k(about three weeks before I got my license ) and is buying a RX7, I have gotten some really good info on this site on what it is and such, but now it gets me: there seams to be many kinds of apex seals(2peace, 3peace etc.) whats the difference and what are the pros and cons of em all? I want to ask my dad but he doesn't have the time at the moment so I thought this would be easier /GTs

lemme save you the time...
for 90+% of all applications:
use 2mm seals unless your rotors are out of spec--then you could have them machined for 3mm's.

if you're poor, rotary aviation. strong, but hard on the rotor housings

if you're medium, stock is pimp. the 3pc seals have been replaced with a 2 piece design

if you're rich, can't beat ceramics.

you can search for anything else you want to know.
