Anyone had problems with Injector Dynamics ID1000 injectors?

Anyone had any issues with injector dynamics id1000 injectors? Iv'e heard quite alot of bad things about ID2000.

Let me tell you a short story first.

Last year i started my BP 13b with a GT4094R, autronic SM4, 500r amplifier, crane cam coils and 6 id 1000 injectors. All was fine, it was ideling good and all.

So i took it out for a drive and street tune for driving it in. Then after about 30 minutes the car started to lean out and it started to sound strange. Then died. Got it home, and i noticed i had a low compression on 1 rotor. So i thought that's why it would not start.

Rebuild over the vinter and voila it started good this vinter, and all was good. Same now, great start when cold and warm after warming up. Then took it out for a test drive to drive it in. Got about 20 minutes in to the drive and engine leand out, not touching the fuel map. Started sounding horrible, and then died out. Would not start at all. Got it back to the work shop. Cooled down, started up fine. Let it idle for about 20 minutes, then i went to take a **** and it just died out. Not starting to hesitate or anything just died like the fuel pump died or turning of the ignition. Tried to start up, nothing. Smelled for fuel in the exhaust nothing. pulled the plugs, completely dry. Pulled the ignition fuse, cranked it and no fuel at all comming out.

Then let it cool down, voila started up again.

Anyone seen this issue with ID injectors?

Going to a local dealer tomorrow to source some new injectors, as he said he have had many ppl in his shop for a tune with id1000 injectors that just stopped working.

JT, I've seen a couple fail from several perspectives. Some that would stick open and others that would short out as you could be describing. I would do a OHM check on your injector/injectors (if they read zero then they're shot) and then check your wiring before ruling the injectors as the cause though. The answer can be found in an afternoon if you're willing to dig. Good-luck!

That is saying that the ev14 injectors are unreliable too.

I bet it's in the wiring.

Just a qick update, as it's a while since my post. Swapped out the injectors with some Deka injectors and all is good. Did 3.5 hours on the dyno last week. And got 502rwhp at 17 psi of boost with a GT4094R

So it's def the injectors and not the wiring. Also drove the car for 300km before the tuning and no problems what so ever.
