Any way to soften up tires if you don't have VHT?

Got a race this sunday and I want to soften up a set of Advan A032's. There is no VHT in Okinawa and I'm looking for somthing I can use that will have the same effect...

Burnout about 5 more seconds than normal, and lower the tire pressure

If the burnout is not an option then you can try doping your tires. The local karting shop or 'real' race shop should have some. It works on my kart and on road course on the FD, not sure how it would work with drag racing. Burnouts and DRs usually do it for me.

AJC13B ran a 11.8 a couple of weeks back on his a032r's - he has previously run an 11.1 on full slicks but is now making more power. Drop him an email or PM - he is very approachable.
He was saying to launch at around 4,500 and slip the clutch a little... whereas with slicks its rev to 6 or so and sidestep clutch. Chemical Softening will only be of assistance if you fit the rubber at the track, and then only for a couple of passes.

Go to your local hardware store and get a gallon of xylene.Take a roll of garage roll of cloth towels, soak up some xylene and wrap a layer around your tires. You ought to leave on a day or two to work well.We do this on our oval track car for quailifing, works well

We always race on 58 in front of Kadena now and HKS sponsors races up at Nago Circuit about every 3 months now... Aja's thew, they put in the red stips there and made them about 1/2inch thick... feels like your driving over railroad tracks... Siniga now has metal poles and chains in and across the road so you can't even go up on the hill any more...

At Aja that stuff goes almost all the way down the entire strip. They also did it around the four corners where everybody used to drift. Oh well, it's not like I'm there anymore. Not for about four years now.
