Base pigs are worthless scum! Detect any bitterness? You betcha. My first car over there was a kanji plated AE82. I was constantly harrassed by MP's coming onto base. They'd grill me with questions like "who's car is this?" or "is this your girlfriends/wifes car?" I always had to show them the documents showing that it was mine and it was good to go without Y plates. Last October when I was over there, every time I tried to get on base as a passenger in a friends car, they'd tear the car apart looking for anything they could. It would take about 5~10 minutes each time. While waiting I would watch dudes drive their g/f cars right through the gate even though they just hopped behind the wheel not even 50' and in view of the gateguards.
