Any Cosmo 13b-RE people here?
Ok I followed someones advice and removed the Coolant thingy on the front of the TB. But this thing hold the throttle open somewhat and now my car wont idle for ****. I opened the idle screw all the way up, and it trys to run at 600 rpm. So I went to put it back the way I had it, and now I guess I turned the screw on the coolant thing too far and the intial air gap on the primary throttle blade is wrong. Anyone have a solution for me?
I tried when the coolant thing was removed to adjust the cable so it held the throttle open a little but it didnt seem to work very good?
HELP!

on mine i had to open the throttle blades up a bit, using the stop screw, and fine tune it with the screw on top of the tb. in the shop manuals they give a spec for how open the blades shoud be

i think for memory i suggested removing it heheh, i think you will find the factory screw isn't long enough, so fit a longer one and it should allow you to ajust it that bit more, remember i sent you some pics of my throttle body on how i did it??? if not i have the link below for you
http://members.austarmetro.com.au/~b...rottlebody.htm
have a careful look at the pics of my throttle body and you should be able to see how i did it. Mine works sweet
cheers

Ok, there are 2 possible adjustments on the Cosmo throttle. There is the idle screw located in the middle of the throttle body on top, and there is a little one on the side for fine tuning. Its on the firewall side of the throttle and is held in place by an 8mm nut, undo the nut and turn the screw in or out to adjust. We use both on mine to control adjustment...
Hope that helps, probably not

Ok I got it back to running 1/2 way good, it still has that stutter on acceleration. It has been brought to my attention that it could be the haltech tuning. So I think this is good enough to get it on the trailer for a LONG haul. Thanks guys

I know the FD on will and will work on cosmo upper intake but the elbow to intercooler will not...
If the 20b one is the same then what are you asking? And is it in untouched shape, as in has anything been modified or altered on it?
