aluminum flywheel question
i am gonna be building my GSL-SE and am wanting to get another aluminum flywheel for it. i had one on my old SE like 10 years ago. what i am wondering is why racing beat went up on the flywheel. i think i remember paying around $380 for it. and do they manufacture their own unit or subcontract it? i saw the fidanza flywheel at jegs and it is $379 while RB is $455 (they look almost identical). of course the counterweight doesnt come with the fidanza, but my neighbor works at mazda so i can get one from him cheap.
does anyone use the fidanza and do you like it or should i just spend the extra and by the RB?

if memory serves, i read that Fidanza makes the flywheels for RB. you're right, you do still need the counterweight so it may work out to be the same as just buying it in one shot from RB. i don't know ... you can check on the price of getting the counterweight separately from your neighbor.
