Aeroquip Heat Exchanger

Aeroquip Heat Exchanger
What do you guys think about running a water/oil heat exchanger instead of the typical air/oil cooler? I'm looking at this one on page 37 for a street/drag car.......

Do you think it will transfer enough heat?
If not, how about the ECD54-329 (double core).......

Well, the early rotaries tried a coolant to oil heat exchanger and it was found inadequate for even stock power levels.
Now, I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss the Laminova unit as they are very efficient and have a good reputation. It is also $930.
The Aeroquip unit was rated 150psi, not far enough above 115-120psi race oil regulator for me, especially considering that is regulated back at the engine AFTER it has gone through the oil cooler.
I guess the thing is that with an air to oil heat exchanger you have a very high temperature differential between the mediums and very high air flow volume possible, so despite the lower thermal conductivity of air compared to a liquid you still end up ahead.

All that's doing is increasing the load on the water cooling sytem, not really a good solution IMHO. Maybe if you're just trying to equalize temps then ok, otherwise just go with an air/oil cooler.

Would also depend on what you want to do. Something like a short slow high reving autocross track it would be good as long as you upgrade the radiator also.
But if you can get some wind to the cooler with some ducting I like the air type better
