AEM c2di help

I am trying to get my C2di working and have a quick question. I have read all the recent complaints about the unit so I am aware of the quality issues.

I am not getting spark when trying to start. I belive it's b/c the unit is never turning on. I wanted to verify if the red LED does infact light up when the car is powered? I did verify the constant power and ground wires to the unit via a continuity check. I did the same with switched 12V.... but I get no LED.

Is this normal, or is mine broken before I ever turned it on?
