I had my engine balanced by a local machine shop. I dont know their actual procedure but it was 45grams out of balance when they started and and 2 grams out of balance when they finished. It is very much noticably smoother on decel and rev matching downshifts. I haven't gotten the chance to flog on it till redline yet but I will soon!

Yes, but not in house right? I think they send it out for dynamic balancing.

A 3rotor will be about $525.00 for dynamic balancing if you want to take off weight on the rotors with balancing we can do that too...

Question - is there any benefit to balancing the eccentric shaft and nothing else? So, if I'm told an eccentric shaft has been balanced to 10,000 RPMs, is this worth anything without the rest of the center assembly?

Unless you balance the assembly it's useless, that is like taking your rims in to have them balanced and then putting new tires on them and not balancing them.
