Maybe you all know about high flow turbos made by night sport, or motor garage alex but i realized alot of people are interested on getting 99 turbo for replacing instead. so I thought id give you someother idea rather than just getting a 99spec turbos.

the high flow turbo has higher potential than the stock turbos because they are tuned and made for boost up fd3s. they have polished down the inner compressor housings so that they can place larger compressor blades. stock size is 52, but instead they have polished down to the size 55 and on top of that, they added 2 extra blades which creates more air flow and inorder to acomidate this flow they have lager shaft (7.7mm to 9.1mm). This makes the turbo to give a longer punch than the stock turbo. as you all know the turbo pull stops before you hit the red line with stock turbo however the high flow turbo pulls even if you hit the redline.
unlike the single tuned turbo fd3s, this way you can maintain the feeling of a flat torque boost.
say, your boost up lvl of fd3s is 1.0kg/cm^2 (stock 8.5kg/cm^2)
is pulling 311hp, with just a replacement of the stock turbo to high flow, you can get aprox 380hp.

so, before thinking of getting a 99spec turbos, look into the high flow turbos. Im not sure if you can get this in united states but they do sale this in japan for about...$2000~$3000

ive got all this info from my fd3s magazines i bought from japan. ^.^ aint it great to be able to read japanese? haha

my 99 turbos made 363 rwhp at 1.0 kg/cm2 with a little more room to tune. Granted the hi-flowa might be better, but getting them stateside is harder than getting 99's.

so the 99 spec turbos are straight swap to any U.S FD3s motor...if not what changes do you have to make..
