4.3 rear end

If I go with a 4.3 rear ratio what do I do to get the speedo to read correct?

Sizing up the wheels and tires should do the trick for you.

Try checking out http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html to see how changing the tire size will affect your speedometer.
