4.3 gears.....Is it worth the $500? And how much of a difference in the 1/4??
The Apexi' Power FC shows speed etc.. so there has to be some kind of speed signal comming in to the computer, but I think the actual speedo still runs sepretly from the computer. However I beleve the new Apex' Speed meter/1-100/1-200/1-400 meter timer thing (kind of like the g-tec pro, but better) has an option that will allow you modify/correct the speed with diffrent gears/tires... The stock speedo would still be off, but the Apexi' one would be dead on once calibrated and you can also use it to check times on your car... O' and it looks cool too...

From what I understand the 4.3 gears are great for auto-x. Im in the hunt for a GTU rear end which has those gears. As for drag racing the ratio would be higher, also take in account for tire size. Hey Okinawa racers, I was there 20 plus years ago when the first 7 came out. Is the speed limit still 50 to 60 km there? Seems 4.3 would work good for quick acceleration.

90 there was 100 (not officially claimed by mazda but they're there)
and no other year had a GTUs (not to be confused with GTU's the plural form of GTU)
Although the RZ (special edition of third gen) has 4.3 gears
