250000-mile

Question 250000-mile

my rx7 86 has 250000-mile and runs good. will i have 2 rebuild my engine sooonnn????

depends on how its running. If your not having any troubles, then no. You can always go to mazda, and receive a compression test to see how the motor is.

Hahaha if it's running goog I wouldn't bring it within 3 miles of a Mazda dealer.....

You sure it's the orginal engine? I almost wanna call BS on this since the factory 86 engine came with 3 piece apex seals. Top piece flips out of the rotor groove very easily in the 150k + range. 250,000k has been done numerious times on the older (1st gen) 2 piece apex sealed engines. Just hope you understand the difference.

Either way, start saving for a rebuild.

I've had a couple 86's and 87's close to 200K on the original motor, so it is very possible.
