1991 Gorilla Biscuit

Assuming a decent launch and good shifting what 1/4 mile times could I expect (throw out a guess) with the following. 1991 RX7 5spd with:
-intake
-2.5 inch catback exaust
-mindtrain header
-MD racing chip

Thanks, also about what crank hp would I have?

15.5 - 16.2 would be a fair guess. If you look in the Time Slips thread at the top of the page you can get a good Idea on what people are running with similar setups.

Well...

Hey... Its really tough to say because theirs too maney other variables. But like U said, just guess assuming everything else perfect. Low 15s. I dont know about crank hp....stock our cars should have 125 at the wheels even. Will U still have your cats?? that will make a difference. I would rather have u make a streight pipe with presilencer and just keep your old cat exaust. Its easy to reinstall for emissions testing...

Remember.. Low 15s like 15.3 or 4 is probly what I was getting when I raced the 3k. But he reported 15.2 and I raced an integra that did 14.9 when I was stock and he beat me by a car through third and Know I can beat him so I could be doing better than I think. The chip full exaust and my intake with either working ports or wired open ports U should not get anything over low 15s. I would know from expierience since I had the same exact car and have seen many rx7s run the 1/8 and quarter.

I can guess flyweel hp. Mabey 185 with all that. Alot of us know from expierience that our cars can squeez out just over 200hp flyweel. Mabey over 210 but knowone has given proof to that. Hey rex. THiers a dyno over here in santee so I will be using it soon and hope to brake 200hp with proof. But I need to get a dam job so I can buy the tools.

The 185 I quoted is prtty accurate and is easy to get. Thats probly what Im running. After this the power is hard to get and requires custom mods that I will be doing and posting pics up. OH and remember that is with stock engine port and stock computer. If we can take out the maf with a stand alone it would make a huge difference but most people dont want to spend 2g on a car that only cost 2g... So the ecu will probly be the last thing I do...

Thanks Khliff, I think I could hit 15 flat with intake, exaust, chip, header and then the straight pipe. 50 wet shot and who knows, I have the $$ for it but I don't want to blow the engine you know.
