1990 Gx Twin turbo?
1990 Gx Twin turbo?
Hey guys,
i have a 1990 Rx Gx base model, ive bought it in the hopes to replace the engine with a another 13b N/A however its impossible to find a 1990 N/A running up here in Toronto canada, however ive had no problem finding Japanese auto parts store that can get 13B's from the 93+ generation rx7 which are Twin Turbo. The price for the complete engine with computer and wiring harness comes up just shy of $2000 with taxes, so other then changing the harness and PC i would assume that i need to replace the rear diff with a T2 rear end at least. as far as the tranny which affordable tranny i can use? and what minor little porting tricks and wastegate adjustmants can be done to this engine set up to make it around 250hp to the wheels?
thanks alot for your help guys

Putting a 3rd gen motor in an FC isn't that easy, the motor mounts don't work and the stock computer and wiring harness is no good. It doesn't just plug up and go, also the wiring harness would be from a RHD car and would come off the motor on the wrong side.
To make the car really nice, you should definately replace the stock open diff with a T2 diff and halfshafts. Then your best bet is to use the T2 driveshaft and tranny (it will bolt up to the FD motor).
