No love for the 1st or 2nd gen rx7s?
RacingBrake makes slotted 1 pc rotors for the FC 4 lug, which have better metalurgy(?) and cooling fins, i have asked about buying non slotted 4 lugs for my FC so i get the quality and proprietary iron alloy but that seems a no go, the silence has been deafening.

I think if you made a setup like this: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...ght=big+brakes
It would be pretty cool. But maybe just use stock 4 piston FC calipers instead of the FD ones. Unless there is an advantage in using the FD caliper over the FC's?
Corksport already has a rear setup like that for $334, so if you guys could make a front one to compliment it, that'd be great

here are my thoughts on this:
In order for it to be an UPGRADE it needs to weigh the same or lighter than stock otherwise you're adding rotational mass which hurts you at the track. This is expensive. If RacingBrakecan do this and keep the prices reasonable (and reasonable might still be too expensive for sa/fb and FC owners).
The whole reason why people buy SA/FB's or FCs is because they are cheaper to maintain and race than other cars (except turbo FCs) and upgrading the brakes should only be done once you are pushing high power, which means you're going faster and you need to stop from higher speeds.
If you don't care about that ^^^^^ then it's just for looks and a cheap, heavy, big brake kit IS possible.

I would rather keep stock size and have it weigh much lighter.
Stock brakes w/ good ducting and good pads are just dandy for me.
Plus aren't these brakes supposed to be superior in venting and metalurgy?
And I don't want something to match the corksport kit, I just want pure racing brake stuff.
Gimme!

I just saw gnx7's RB kit and it looks to be some nice hardware.
I would be interested in a setup for the FC.
All we would really need is the correct size rotor hat, different dogbone and we'd be golden.
I didn't care for the banjo fittings though.

Definitely would love to have either an OEM replacement kit (with lightened rotors of course, 1 or 2 piece would be nice) or a big brake kit for the 5-lug 86-92 RX-7's with 4 piston front calipers and single piston vented rear discs.
I wanna see 2 piece rotors all around and a nice pretty light weight front caliper replacement.an extra in of rotor diameter is cool, and making it lighter weight (like the kit that ted has composed of wilwood parts.
i dont see this is gonna ever happen.
they seem to care at all about fc or fbs.

I agree, and I don't understand why. They have other products for other older cars as well, plus they have 4 lug rotors! Why would you have 4 lug rotors, when the 5 lug 4-piston brakes are the performance model?!
Her is my 2cents if anyone from RB is reading this.
I would pay very good money for a setup that included the following features.
Fit the stock 16" rims.
Larger rotors all around (balanced system that would not need an adjustable proportioning valve). Maximize the rotor size to fit within the stock 16" rim size.
Calipers (front and rear) that has a wide variety of pad selection.
A larger pad in the front at least.
A 2 piece, light weight, floating rotor with directional vanes and powerslot style slotting.
NO CROSSDRILLING.

One of the reasons that there are very few upgraded brake options for the FC is:
Quite simply, when mated to a good set of pads/ good brake fluid properly flushed, it seems to be quite plenty to stop the car from triple digit speeds. Most race drivers in FC's rarely do any kind of upgrade past sloted rotors and motul(or other brand)racing brake fluid. A 2 piece stock rotor replacement is available, though not through racing brake.
Simply put, "upgraded" brakes are not necessary on an FC. Most manufacturers see that and thusly don't bother.

I would have to check our old drawings but the OEM 4 piston FC caliper and the FD caliper are interchangable. In our benchmarking room I found a set of red R1 calipers and they bolt right up to my FC
