Volvo Kill, What exactly was it?

Would you like to explain to us what that sound means?

"Maybe next time the guy hears a bov salute he will think twice. "
Oooh, next time I hear some ricer bov I'll be craping my pants.

I'm well aware of the potential of modded turbo volvos, but I wouldn't go as far as to say "many of them are modded turbo sleepers" when in reality its a very small percentage of them that are modified at all.
Try telling that to the cop, and since when did I imply that I don't bitch about everyone else street racing as well?
Oooooohhhh so sorry to say your high 15 second car is a 16 second car
I was way off on that one
YOU have? or mommy and daddy have?
I try!

If I got pulled over what I would tell to the cop that I admit that I was wrong. What i said was not excusing the fact that street racing was wrong. There is no argument here, I street raced. I know it is wrong. And so do the other people that do it. But there are some times when you occasionly get cloudy judgement and do it anyway. I am actually working to calm this down. My adolescent mind seems to like risky business..something that will wear off.
Yea the car should run high to mid 15s. Do you really think i care what it runs? Maybe it would run 16s with me driving it. Hell, i don't care if it was a 18 second car. I have plenty of time to go fast, a have my whole life ahead of me. I enjoy the fact of modifying the car and learning my way around the car.
Yes, "Mommy and Daddy" Payed for my mustang. It cost $20,000 or $19,997 since you seem to like exact numbers. But it is a car that I drive and the family calls it my car. Sure I didn't pay for any of my cars(also drive a lincoln mark VIII which my parents bought for me) but it is fine with me. I honestly can't afford my own car. And if i was to buy my own car it wouldn't exactly be my idea of a fun car to drive. The mustang was bought because i wanted to learn how to drive a manual transmission. Plus I always liked the Ford Mustang. A 99-04 GT was the first car i ever actually wanted.
I'm 17, my parents take great care of me, and I am appreciating the life God gave me.
This thread has really taken some wierd turns. It started off as someone taking on a Brick then moving into ricers all mixed with myth and bullshit. Lets seperate fact from myth from bullshit for a minute. Fact is a car is only as fast as the driver allows it to go within its mechanical limits. You can't expect an AUDI-5000 to race and win over a turbo FC, the only way is if the driver of the FC has no clue as to what he is doing. Same holds true for a non turbo RX anything vs a Volvo 760 GLE turbo-intercooled unless said brick driver doesnt know how to shift his automatic.
Myth: Volvos are slow. Hate to say it but they are not slow. Whats your defininiton of fast anyway? 0-60 in 5 seconds? Top out over 150? 13s in the quarter mile? Even a n/a 700 series volvo will top out around 110 MPH and a turbo 760 will eclipse 130 with enough room.
Bullshit: Ricers dont know what they are doing. Some of these guys get rather serious with their cars. Call it "brand loyalty" or whatever we do share the same passion with our RX's, Volvos and what have you. There are some seriously quick Hondas and Acuras running around out there. Some of these guys will hand your *** back on a plate after the race be it on the street or track. Lets face it you put 300+ horsepower in a lightweight Civic its going to fly. Its sort of like my son who took a single rotor Sachs snowmobile engine on his go-cart and even though he weighs close to 150 pounds himself the damn thing moved out and hit close to 80 before he knew it!
Now Im not going to defend Romancer or anyone else however it doesnt make him a bad person in that his parents bought a Mustang or Lincoln for him to drive. There are alot of parents who wants their kids to grow up easy and for all we know his parents could have a disability that makes it difficult for them to drive, could also be other siblings have a hectic sports schedule and he helps out the family by taking care of them. My parents busted their asses while raising 3 of us and we were all teenagers within 4 years of each other. My older sister didnt want to drive so I was next in line and my parents gave me the old family car to shuttle my sister and brother around. I got my son a 87 FC turbo not only to drive but because he loves to wrench and get his hands dirty. He is learning at a very fast pace on his own and how many kids do you know that can take a Sachs snowmobile rotary and mate it to an endurocart frame using a comet drive? Mast kids in his school dont even know the business end of a screwdriver let alone the direction to tighten. I dont think Romancer or any other teenager here would fit into the "spoiled" catagory just because the parents bought them a car. For all we know it was a reward or some other factor that prompted the parents to do what they did.
Now lets have fun with the kills and forget about who is the bad guy or the spoiled brat, to be frank and honest I dont give a care. I cant stop street racers so those who had the chance for some fun post it here and share with all.
We all have one thing in common here, RX-7's along with Mustangs, Volvos, GMs and whatever else that runs on wheels.

stop picking on romancer; he's actually a really nice kid.
I note that someone said Volvo's aren't for racing, ever hear of the 2 liter touring cars, the Brits, Aussies and all through Eurpoe they raced with a lot of success even winning in wagons early in the 90's.
