Turbo porting kill

Most of the time, when I don't work. I goto a shop after school to hang out. Well today was one of those days. I wasn't doing anything there so I asked the shop manager if I could work on my car. He said ok. So I decided I really needed to do my porting since it was wayyyyyy overdue. (surprized I didn't blow it earlier) So I started to work on it around 3:30, got done at 11:30. (Took alot of breaks) Really excited that I got it done, I decided to go for a test run on the highway. Right when I get on the ramp I see a VW GTI with an exhaust. Nice looking one, not ricey at all. I gun it happly and let off. He notices it and as soon as we get on the highway he guns it. Cuts in fronts of a car, me being safe, I slowly go around the car and there he is waiting for me. I go a little in front of him and with no one in front I gun it and he guns it behind me. He keeping up a little but I start to pull away. Then we line up side by side. I hook 3 times and gun it be he doesn't so I let off. Then he guns it and gets a half a car jump on me, so I gun it also and hold it. I caught up then pulled a car on him and let off. He pulls up to me and ask what I got. I told him a straight pipe but couldn't tell him the rest cause of traffic. hehe all in all, it was a great night.

so what boost are you running now??

just curious to see if the wastegate is big enough. with my full intake/exhaust, my wastegate is large enough to keep me at stock boost.

but a new Profec B Spec II fixed that problem with the quickness. But running 12psi doesn't feel any faster than when i was running 20. oh well, it should at least be safer.
