turbo-hatch-built-sleved honda vs. me

Well, i was on my way home from work. i find this modded civic hatch pulling onto the road behind me. I take a closer look, and notice a black painted LARGE FMIC. ahhh, hes trying to be sneaky... but when hes next to me, you would have to be a car retard to not notice this things a beast w/ a big *** turbo dumped on wastegate and downpipe. We mess around for a bit, then get a 40 to 100 mph race. I hit boost quick and pull, he finally spools and spins some then takes off trying to catch me. I had about a car length between us and he was slowly inching me but i still had him by 100 when we had to stop for cars. we pulled over and talked...; that car was built to hell. sleved motor... some sort of traction bars up front on the front suspention.... never heard of anything like that. he described it like a 4-link. anyways, he was running low boost on me, or hea said 405whp. then he showed me a 607 whp dyno slip for race trim. i was like . it as on a dynapak dyno, which i know to inflate numbers but still, thats impressive.

but i held off a 405whp hatch until 100 mph and i only was boosting 11psi on a HOT motor. this was by far the closest race ive had. i know im not making as much power as him (maybe 320whp), and he weighs less probably, but just goes to show... my car just plain does more with the power..not to mention i have nearly 5000 rpms of full boost with the stock turbos to his 6300 rpm turbo spool.. RWD > FWD.

Nice kill dude. Goes to show no matter what the power numbers, if you can't actually put the power down, it makes no difference.

600 HP isn't even usable on a RWD, why put it in a FWD light *** car? sure there is some good honda builders out there but what's the point if you build a monster that you can't control?

honestly, the way this race went with me running 10 psi. if i was running race gas and 16 psi, i dont think he would have caught me if he was running the high boost 607whp. i would have pulled and gained too much momentum while he looks for traction.

its funny, charlotte races have seemed to start from 60 & 70 mph for the faster cars lately(...excuse m... higher hp cars). theres a white hatch, not the one i raced, that is supposed to be the kill-all of the town. but he only races from 70mph. he was supposedly beaten by a stock viper from a 35mph roll. but he can beat a 500whp 350z from 70mph... my opinion is that would be a much different race from 40mph. my opinion: a race is from a stop... if a high hp awd car wants to race me, i say "ok, but wait 30 mins ,il be right back.".. i go back home and throw on the et streets... problem solved.

to me your car is still slow if you have alot of hp, and cannot hook it up enough to beat anything from a low speed start. alot of hp does not mean you car will actually perform... that why i love the 7, its actual performance is very good.

I call b.s. Didn't you know Hondas run 9's with that kind of power? [/sarcasm]

On a serious note, turn up the boost and run him from a dig!
