the weight input does not affect acceleration readings, it affects hp readings.

not the new carrera s, if that's what he raced. even the most conservative mags have tested them in the mid 12's---and high 3's to 60. the new s is fast and it bests a stock 993 turbo in almost every category of performance. actually, i just checked my road and track and they tested 3.9 to 60 and a 12.3 quarter at 114.8. that's pretty quick in my book and you'd need quite a few mods on your average fd to beat it.

I have driven just about every porsche, they all suck for the money except for one. The GT-2. The turbo is fast as ****, and believe it or not the GT-2 actually beats the turbo by 100 ft. 0-60 and almost 350 1/4 mile. It is UNFREAKIN believable. The GT-3 is a waste of money as it is NA. But still, for $180kish I would have many other cars over that.

Its 180k for the gt2 which is the one with the turbo. The gt3 is just over 100k i believe. For an NA the gt3 sure does haul ***. It runs low 12s in the quarter bone stock which is just as fast as the turbo 911. It also handles pretty damn good too.

I know your saying good things about the car but I just wanted to add that it handles better than "pretty damn good" the GT3 is a serious ******* car, I would pay the price for one.

LOL that was a rape.

With full exhaust, ECU, and 13.5psi (and other minor stuff) I was neck-n-neck with a 996 Turbo till we dropped off at about 140 or so. I can't imagine a T78 against a NA carrera

I can't believe you guys are trying to claim a 911 or M3 is a "waste of money". There's a lot more to a car than 0-60 and 1/4 times. Basically the same reason you guys choose to drive 12 year old cars...

I've driven a 911, a 993, AND a 996. Personally, I think the 996 is a waste of money. The 911s and the 933s all make you feel like part of the car. The 996 seems to want to do everything for you. The 996 even felt Slushly compared to the other models.

I can't blame Porsche though. It's the same reason why they came up with the Cayenne. They have to make money, and the only way to do it is by selling cars that most people will agree with. The 996 made me feel detached from the car.

If I had the money, I would never buy a 996. I'll buy a 993 Turbo. Of course, if I can afford a 993 Turbo, I'll save a lil more cash and get a Turbo S

IMHO, the 993 Turbo S is ultra Sexy. No lines anywhere. Just one big nice contoured shape with beautifully blended engine bay intake ports

10K? **** I would say more than that. That FMIC is more than 2K alone. Then a $3500 T-78 kit. Fuel mods, tires, and all supporting ****. Damn I have spent 6K and I am still on stock twins.

I was going to say $20k, but you never know if it was all purchased used.

I still say it's bullshit.
