T66 FD v. WRX with big turbo & C16 ***VID***
Last weekend I ran this fast WRX. I don't know how much boost he was running, but apparently he has a "big turbo" and was running C16. Both cars had passengers to make it fair. I was running 20 psi which is only making 425 whp currently. My mechanic and I are in the process of trying to figure out why the power is 25-50 whp lower than it should be.
The race was from 40-140. I started a bit behind him, but the road ends rather quickly, so I was trying to get started as soon as possible.
I got quite squirrely in second when I hit it (though the video doesn't really show it), so he got out on me pretty hard. I ordered my Nitto drag radials on Wednesday, so that shouldn't be a problem any more. I reeled him in nicely though.
Anyways, please don't link directly to the vid. Go to the linked thread below and download it from there. The owner of Need2Speed.com is kind enough to host the video, so feel free to take a look around while you're there. He makes tons of cool videos, and you can find most of them in the Kills section.

looks like the site may be having temporary problems. This link works: http://www.need2speed.com/Home/cgi-bin/ib/ikonboard.cgi
Then clicking on any of the forums from there returns the same error:
"Ikonboard CGI Error
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ikonboard has exited with the following error:
/your/path/to/Home/cgi-bin/ib/Skin/ did not return a true value
This error was reported at: (eval 15) line 1. "
Sounds like a nice win though

Your car and your videos are awesome. I just got my big turbo FD, but I have some experience with Nitto drag radials, and you will love them. Your car will be completely different. I just got some 255/50/16 BFG drag radials because the newfound power was annihilating the stockers. Good luck and be safe

im assuming since the wrx name is green he is using the FP Green turbo which is good for 400-450 whp. heres a link to the info for the turbo.

its kinda hard to see but towards the end of the video it shows just a tiny bit of the hood and part of the hood scoop. that scoop looks like an 03. i could be mistaken but i drive an 04 wrx with STi hood everyday and the view of the scoop is different.

I'm not sure what is done to the WRX. I know what the video says, that's all. I don't know the guy. The race was setup for me. Had I actually gotten traction in second, I would have pulled him a bit in second, and much more in the other two gears. Regardless, I won.

OMG!!! Your FD looks so much different since the kit! You still have the best looking MBM I've seen to date. I'd love to see it in person. In fact, here in a few months I'll be back in Florida, so maybe I'll swing into Tampa and search for it!!!

Update:
I did some searching and found some posts by this guy on our local "racing" forum.
Pretty stout WRX if I do say so myself.
