SRT4 rematch :)
Well a while back I was just barely able to fend off my friends SRT4 due to some ignition problems. Since then I swapped out my coils, got new plugs, msd wires, and an electronic boost controller and my woes have been remedied
The car is still running on an old Rx7store tune - still far too rich but Im estimating about 300whp on this tune - its getting garaged soon and next summer ill get it retuned. My mods: rotorsports stage2 streetport, atkins 3mm seals, non-seq twins, bonez dp, mp, exhaust, k&n intake, unorthodox main pulley, pfc tuned by rx7store, 1250cc secondary, walbro fuel pump, hks ssqv, m2 large smic, greddy profec b spec 2 ebc running 14psi, short throw shifter.
SRT4 - very few mods, intake, motor mounts, bov all i know of.
The race was pretty simple, we went from a 20mph roll ~4000rpms in 1st gear. Friend in a neon R/T was behind us and did tghe 3 beeps. My friend got the jump on me and had a better start. We were even through all of first. Second gear I started to pull, my EBC isnt really tuned that well for my hi-boost setting of 14psi and I saw a lot of spiking to 14.7 psi but I started pulling the moment I hit 2nd. By the time I was in 3rd gear I had at least a carlength on him. Shut down at about 7k in 3rd gear with at least 2-3 cars.
Im pretty pleased with how the car performed on an outdated tune, especially considering with my non-seq twins I wasnt getting full boost until ~3800rpms and I shut it down before I even hit the top of 3rd. If there was more road I would have loved to do a 2nd or 3rd gear roll.

Yeah thier all right, re-tune , re-race and you'll be happier that you did. I destroyed a buddies SRT4 and he had an exhaust, intake, and some kinda chip. Ate his lunch off the line and in the end had him by 4-5 cars. They can be qwik, no doubt.

yeah SRT-4's weigh about the same as FD's right? and they dyno stock at 230 WHP IIRC. Your FD should've destroyed him. Unless he has more mods than what you listed.
I raced a couple of SRT-4's on the freeway that must have been stock because I pulled on them rather easily at 10 psi. My mods were Mild streetport, CAI, PFS SMIC, DP, MP, stock catback, and stock ECU. So my CFM was greater than a stock FD.
SRT-4's take exremely well to mods BTW.
